A WORD ABOUT ALLERGIES AND SENSITIVITIES.

Some dogs, just like humans, can be allergic or sensitive to some ingredients used in our products. The list below gives the ingredients that may be found in some or all of our products:

Wheat Flour, Oat Flour, Peanut Butter, Carob Powder, Honey, Molasses, Canola Oil, Baking Soda, Yogurt Chips, Carob Chips, USDA Certified Food Colorings, Vitamin E (Mixed Tocopherols)

The most common ingredients from the list above that are sometimes associated with sensitivities are wheat, and food colorings. Aside from these two ingredients, if you have concerns about other ingredients pertaining to your dog, please contact your veterinarian and discuss our ingredients with them prior to purchasing our products.

WHEAT – Wheat flour is used in our products to give them stability. Products that are "wheat-free" often crumble and break easily. Since we ship our products nationwide, we use wheat flour to offer stability in shipping. If your dog is actually allergic to wheat please contact us to discuss options for a wheat-free cake. If your dog is not allergic to wheat, which is the case for most dogs, your dog should do fine with our products, especially since they are treats and fed in very small quantities and only occasionally as in birthday cakes which are fed once a year.

FOOD COLORINGS – Most of our product designs are created with the use of food colorings. Most dogs do fine with food colorings. Rarely, a dog's stool will change color after ingesting food color. This is harmless. However, if your dog is sensitive or allergic to food colorings, any of our cake and cookie designs can be made without the use of food colorings. If you are unsure if your dog is sensitive to food colorings, but would like to be cautious, we suggest you order products without. Most of our listings offer "neutral colors" which are yogurt and carob (white and brown) and do not contain food color. If a particular listing does not offer neutral colors please put a note on your order that you do not want food colorings and we will make the design in yogurt and carob only. PLEASE NOTE: Our pet portrait cakes MUST be made with food colorings. We cannot paint a dog on the cake without color.
