Permanent full-time position or part-time decorating available
We are looking an all around person who is mature, friendly and motivated to help create the best baked goods for our canine customers. Not only do we bake every day, we make fresh stews and decorate cookies and cakes.
Our ideal candidate is someone who has been praised at previous jobs for their exceptional performance, ability to pick up information quickly, and a joy to have as a team player. You should be a self-starter who can work quickly and efficiently.
Our ideal candidate is also someone who consistently comes to come to work on time, is willing to undergo training to quickly understand and participate in everyday kitchen operations and must enjoy working closely with dogs and their fellow team members. Besides working in the kitchen, you will be occasionally required to perform other store duties including helping with special events.
Baking/commercial kitchen experience is highly desired, but we are willing to train the right individual with a great attitude and artistic ability. You will be required to decorate using a piping bag and frosting cakes. We hand chop almost all our vegetables, including sweet potatoes. This takes a lot of hand strength and coordination. This is a physical job. You must be able to be on your feet for most of your shift, to be able to lift at least 50lbs at a time, to be able to work with a very stiff dough when kneading and rolling, be willing to clean, wash dishes and take out the garbage. We work with non-traditional baking ingredients, mainly raw meat and organs.
Please send resume, cover letter, salary expectations and decorating examples (if you have them) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
