Position #1 – Kitchen Help
We are looking for our next kitchen superstar! Is it you?
We are looking for someone who is mature, friendly and motivated to help create the best baked goods for our canine customers. Not only do we bake every day, we make fresh stew and decorate cookies and cakes.
Our ideal candidate is someone who has been praised at previous jobs for their exceptional performance, ability to pick up information quickly, and a joy to have as a team player. You should be a self-starter who can work quickly and efficiently.
Our ideal candidate is also someone who consistently comes to come to work on time, is willing to undergo training to quickly understand and participate in everyday kitchen operations and must enjoy working closely with dogs and their fellow team members. Besides working in the kitchen, you will be occasionally required to perform other store duties including helping with special events.
Baking/commercial kitchen experience would be helpful, but we are willing to train the right individual with a great attitude and artistic ability. You will be required to decorate using a piping bag and frosting cakes. We hand chop almost all our vegetables, including sweet potatoes. This takes a lot of hand strength and coordination. This is a physical job. You must be able to be on your feet for most of your shift, to be able to lift at least 50lbs at a time, to be able to work with a very stiff dough when kneading and rolling, be willing to clean, wash dishes and take out the garbage. You must be able to work with raw meats and organs.
We offer a competitive salary, generous discount program, on-the-job training and participation in a monthly bonus program. We have a great team and a fun atmosphere. This is a full-time position and weekends are required.
Happy Dog Barkery was established in April 2004. We are a family-owned pet specialty retailer and our niche in the dog world is our kitchen creations. We make many varieties of treats for dogs (and some for cats), at least 170 celebration cakes each month and over 50 pots of stew every month. Our kitchen is growing as we expand the wholesale side of the bakery business as well as our in-store offerings.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us why you think you’re right for the position with our company and include your resume. If you have examples of your decorating and/or art skills, please attach examples (with hand lettering preferred).
Position #2 – Sales, Customer Service and Store Operations
We are still looking for our next sales superstar! Is it you?
We are looking for someone who is mature, friendly, enthusiastic and motivated to help customers provide the best care possible to their pets, including but not limited to nutrition, supplementation and stimulation.
Our ideal candidate is someone who has been praised at previous jobs for their exceptional customer service, ability to pick up information quickly, and joy to have as a team player. You should be a self-starter who wants to educate yourself and others on creating a healthier world for us and our companion animals.
